How long can the tea powders last?

When stored in the right conditions, the tea powders should last for at least 6 months to 1 year. We will only sell teas that is at least 6 months from the recommended 'best before' date. The recommended 'best before' date is 1 year from the date of production in Japan.

How should I store the tea powders?

The tea powders should be stored away from heat and light to reduce the rate of oxidation. It will be ideal to store it in an air-tight container in a cool enviroment (~10 deg celsius). It is ok to keep it in a chiller, but condensation of the container walls will occur with repeated opening and closing of the container. It will be good practice to seal and store the tea powder immediately upon opening to reduce condensation in the humid climate of Singapore.

Are your tea powders certified organic?

Our current offerings of tea powder are not certified organic. Be assured that all our teas are grown and processed under stringent Japanese regulatory requirements. Each crop will be subject to a range of tests for radiation, heavy metals and pesticide contaminations.

Are your tea powders sweetened?

All our tea powders are 100% pure and unsweetened. We generally enjoy our teas unsweetened, but you may add sweeteners according to your preference.

What are your recommendation of usage for your range of teas?

If you enjoy matcha as a tea, we will recommend USU matcha.
If you enjoy matcha lattes, we will recommend INRYO matcha for its bold flavours to cut through the milk.
Our houjicha and genmaicha powders are suitable for both tea and lattes!

How much tea should I use per serving?

It really depends on your preference! However, we will recommend to start with 1 - 2g of tea powder for tea preparation and 2 - 3g of tea powder for latte preparation. You may like to adjust the dosage subsequently.

Can I bake with the tea powders?

Yes! Baking with tea powders is increasing in popularity now. Since sugar and other ingredients are added for baking, we will not recommend USU matcha for baking as the subtle flavors may well be covered. All other teas will be suitable for baking.

What are your return or refund policies?

As tea powders are perishables, we do not accept any form of returns. Should you be dissatisfied with our product, kindly reach out to us via email or DM. Refunds or replacement will be at the discretion of the company.
